organic and natural personal care

As I already found out, organic and natural cosmetic seems great and I don't use any other at all. It's friendly to my skin, efficient and enjoyable, and regarding ingredients, healthy. After I've explored the cosmetic (I'm still exploring it, also in the direction of buying high quality and pure ingredients for home made cosmetic) I continue with hygiene products, household cleaning, dishwashing and laundry, the next step would be personal hygiene textile (underwear, towels ...), baby products ... and so on. And food of course (this will be a special topic some other time, including home production ...) Since I've discovered some great products I will put here some references for cosmetic and cleaning.

Organic and natural cosmetic:

Akamuti. So far, definitely the best. I've been using the first set of products I ordered and I couldn't be more impressed. So far, I haven't found any better and more quality cosmetic in terms of pure (and efficient) ingredients. NO chemical compounds at all! Their body care products are perfect (body butters, foot and hand balms, soap bars) but I haven't tried other products yet. I'm also hardly waiting to try their raw ingredients for home made cosmetic. I also like their business model with fair trade elements and their packaging style (all products in glass pots with printed labels on non-glossy paper). Shopping: nice online shop, fast delivery to Slovenia, affordable delivery costs (from UK).
Dr. Hauschka. It's highly efficient, one of the purest (minimal content of chemical compounds). I especially appreciate it for encouraging self-cleaning and self-balancing processes of the skin. I especially love their face care and body oils. And I like their business policy, production process and quality assurance. Shopping: good prices - very affordable, good value for money. Good availability on Slovene market and very competitive regarding the original prices.
The Organic Pharmacy. A bit high class, I disapprove their luxurious packages (probably too manufactured and dissipated) designed very attractive of course. Great to combine with Dr.Hauschka, I prefer some of the "Organic" products to "Hauschka". Great intensive face care products (anti-aging, eye care) and hair shampoo. Some of the products contain too much of chemical compounds although it's still high % natural and organic and thus one of the purest cosmetic. Shopping: fast order processing and fast delivery to Slovenia, quite high delivery costs but still quite lower prices than in Slovene shops.
Living Nature. Quality comparable to "Hauschka" and "Organic". Product range suits me a little less than that of the first two. Shopping: great customer service in their online shop and free delivery to Slovenia for orders over 100 $ (which is no problem with their prices). But they're New Zealand manufacturer and despite great online customer service they have very uncompetitive prices on European market so they are hardly affordable.

I know and I've tried also other natural cosmetic brands. But these that I refer to have fascinated me with their specific concepts which other brands lack. Encouraging self-processes of the skin, sticking to the purest ingredients, fair trade, taking care of the transport, community business model, limited production, good customer service are some of these concepts that are unique to either of these brands and for which I like them besides their great products and prefer them to others.

Not to stick just to cosmetic, here are the two referrals to organic and natural cleaning products - I am very satisfied with products of both brands:

- Sodasan
- AlmaWin

All cosmetic and cleaning products I refer to are available on Slovene market (in online and/or traditional shops). But I usually (well, always if possible/available) buy them directly from the producers (in their online shops) since the prices are much lower (despite of the delivery costs!). Taking into account of course that producers are European since I also try to stick to them due to transport pollution of the global trading.

I will also collect references for other products (hygiene, baby, ...) and post them later after I have at least as much experience as with cosmetic and cleaning.

Keep it natural!
